#BEDM Challenge: Self Care Sunday

self-care-sunday-list-02

For me, self care is about wellbeing. It’s all about making the time to do the things that make you happy. It’s so easy to let work take over, and spend your day off ironing, and lose an evening to Netflix marathons, but at the end of the week you’re likely to feel pretty unfulfilled. I always say to people who are unhappy at work: “If work is all you do you’ll just be unhappy”. You really have to allocate time to doing those things that make you feel good, making the effort to manifest your own happiness and fill your spare time with positive experiences.

I like to keep a list of things that make me happy and check it every day. If I can tick at least one item off each day, I know I’m on the right track. Why don’t you give it a go? Apps like Google Keep are perfect for the digitally minded, or keep your list on a chalk board or in your diary if you’re more the pen and paper type!

  1. Reblogged this on Success, Your Way! and commented:
I agree, take the time to do the things that make you happy. Then take the next step. Look for ways to improve yourself and find other things that make you happy. Become brilliant at them then join others who share your passions. Be the expert and help others succeed. Now you are enjoying what you are doing AND enjoying helping others to do what you can do and be happy too. #happiness#teaching#coaching#success

    1. Thanks for your comment, it’s great to come across like-minded people. There’s nothing better than mastering something and the rewarding feeling you get when you are able to pay it forward and share that with someone else!

  2. Oh my, you just gave me the brilliant idea to keep a happy list on my mobile 🙂 I mean, I know about creating happy lists but somehow never thought of keeping one on my mobile. How handy! ❤
